Algebra is the study of the principles of operations in mathematics. It is a major part of the study of math so it can get to be complicated. It's not all bad news though. Pre-algebra or elementary algebra is easy to understand as long as it is taught well.
There are two keys to understanding algebra. The first - Listen carefully to your teacher. Hang on to his every word and stay focused while you listen.
The second - If you don't understand, ask. Keep asking. Demand explanations from your teacher until you understand the concepts of algebra.
Repeat both of these steps and you have algebra mastered.
no it is like 4th grade algebra
me
Yes it is
No.
It has letters instead of numbers.
It is not hard compared to college algebra. pre-calc just incorporates topics you have learned so far uo to college algebra and introduces a few more. if you did well in algebra, you should do well in pre-calc.
First of all. Help what? And second of all finding the history of algebra is almost impossible so that is a very hard question to answer.
Probably not much; of course you'll learn new things (just as you did in algebra), but they will be introduced gradually (just as they were in algebra).
yes! i just finished algebra this past year and it was SO hard!
if you put your mind to it it is not really hard just rember your properties
Algebra is for solving equations. It's the entire purpose of Algebra. You'll use Algebra in Biology, Chemistry, and Finance. Study hard and it will make your other math & science classes easier.
To even consider college algebra you need strong algebra skills. So, your expectation would be to work very hard and be challenged often That is why many take advanced algebra.
