Technically, no, they're not. Consecutive usually means following in succession without any sort of interruptions, and to be consecutive it should be 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, etc.
You could say these are consecutive ODD numbers.
They are: 14+15+16 = 45
The numbers are 8 to 22 (inclusive).It immediately springs to mind that if 15 is the average then the numbers will start at 15 - 7 (8) and finish at 15 + 7 (22), but let's prove this!We know that 15 is the average of 15 numbers. We can therefore work out what the 15 consecutive numbers add up to. We can then use algebra to calculate these numbers.The numbers total 15 * 15 = 225Therefore, where x is equal to the lowest number in the series:x + (x+1) + (x+2) + (x+3)...etc all the way up to + (x+14) = 225Therefore:15x + 105 = 22515x = 225 - 10515x = 120x = 8.
Consecutive numbers are numbers which are next to each other, such as 1, 2, and 3, or 15 and 16.
Consecutive means following one another. E and F are consecutive, as are Tuesday and Wednesday and 100 and 101. The number 15 is NOT between any consecutive whole numbers. However, it is between the whole numbers 14 and 16 --- which of course are not consecutive.
The numbers are 15 and 16.
The numbers are 15, 16 and 17.
They are 14 and 15.
The numbers are 14 and 15.
The numbers are 14 and 15.
Not in that order. They are consecutive odd integers in this order: 11 13 15.
