They are the ones who began to study geometry in detail in the early years.
Answer from Ejay Melano
The Babylonians, Egyptians, and Greeks were involved in the early development of geometry. However, the Greeks were major contributors to this field. Pythagoras, Thales, and Euclid are some men most famous for their contributions to this field.
Many cultures including the Westerners (Europeans), Arabs, and ancient Indians made contributions to geometry, but in my opinion, the Ancient Greeks contributed the most significant contribution - the Pythagorean Theorum.
In the long run, the greatest contributions of the Greek were geometry and philosophy. The theorems of Pythagoras Euclidean geometry played an important part of the development of western geometry and mathematics. Plato and Aristotle dominated European philosophy until the 19th century.
