Each element on the periodic table has two numbers: the atomic number and the relative atomic mass. The atomic number is the number of protons in the nucleus, and the relative atomic mass is the total number of protons and neutrons (so the difference between them is the number of neutrons). The relative atomic mass is always the higher of the two.
You can't. There are two measurements needed: MASS and Volume
The two ways are:empirical: measure ittheoretical: calculate it (using formulae).
The number in the two spot is in the hundredth place.
it is an infinate number. if you keep adding layer after layer to get different combinations, you'll find out that it'll repeat
Atomic mass and Atomic number
The mass number of an isotope is the number of neutrons and protons in the isotope, let this be p +n = (mass number). To find the number of neutrons you need the atomic number (number of protons), let this be p. You then subtract the two: mass number - atomic number = no. of neutrons p + n - p = no. of neutrons = n
To find the number of neutrons simply subtract the atomic number from the atomic mass. In this case there are two neutrons.
- different atomic mass - different number of neutrons - different nuclear properties - etc.
Two ways. Pick the one you prefer.1). Divide the number by 100.2). Move the number's decimal point two places to the left.
"mass number" is not "the/a" word, it is two words.
Mass and velocity
Two ways to find the mass of an object:1). Compare it with an object whose mass is known, for example on a balance scale, using a set of calibrated masses.2). Weigh the unknown mass. Since we know the acceleration of gravity on earth (9.8 meters/32.2 feet per second2), we can divide the weight by the acceleration of gravity to find the mass.
melt to a liquid and evaporate as a gas
For any element in ther periodic table., two numbers are given. They are the Atomic No. and the Atomic Mass. The Atomic Number indicates the elements position in the periodic table. The number of protons in the element The number of electrons in the nuetrally charged element. The Atomic mass is the total of all the protons and neutrons in the nucleus of an atom . So to find the number of neutrons in an element , the difference between the Atomic Mass and the Atomic Number is the number of neutrons present. Two examples ; - hydrogen ; [1/1] H ; 1 - 1 = 0 so no neutrons. chlorine ; [35/17]Cl ; 35-17 = 18 so 18 neutrons present. NB The larger number is the Atomic Mass, usually printed at the top left of a given element. The small number is the Atomic Number, usually printed at the bottom(left) of any given element.
why do you think i looked on this thing to find the answer.YOU TELL ME!
4 because the mass number equals protons plus neutrons. Which is 4.
