I assume by Z Q R you mean the sets , and where is the set of integers, is the set of rationals (numbers that can be written as a/b with a and b in ) and is the set of every single real number you can think of.

If this is the case all they really mean for -15 in each of them is that:

-for ℤ, the numbers directly above or below is -14 or -16

-for ℚ, the numbers directly above or below is an extremely small amount above or below -15 to explain what i mean better -15 could be written as -15/1 and a number just above could be -15,000,000/1,000,001 but you can decrease the difference between that number and -15 by multiplying top and bottom by multiples of 10.

-for ℝ, the numbers directly above or below -15 differ by an infinitely small amount and are essentially the same number as -15.

Except for this I can't see how the different sets would mean anything for -15 except for operations where the operator would have to be an integer or rational to keep it in and respectively. For it doesn't matter what the operator is so long as it is not imaginary or complex.

If p q and q r then p r.?

Unfortunately, the browser used for posting questions is hopelessly inadequate for mathematics: it strips away most symbols. All that we can see is "If p q and q r then p r.?". There is no operator between the variables. Some operators are transitive, others are not. In the case of the operator "is not equal to", the answer is that it depends. In the case of "is the parent of" the answer is no.

If 2452 60q plus 52r and q and r are positive integers what is one possible value for q plus r?

Unfortunately, limitations of the browser used by Answers.com means that we cannot see most symbols. It is therefore impossible to give a proper answer to your question. Please resubmit your question spelling out the symbols as "plus", "minus", "times", "equals". In the above question, there is no symbol after 2452.

Can you evaluate pq - r when p equals -7 and q equals 6 and r equals -15?

I would like to show u how to answr this problem but unfortunatly i dont have enough time so im goin to give u the answer. Q: -7(6) - (-15) A: I BELIEVE THE ANSWER IS -27

L is not as tall as P or R but is taller than S and Q Q being shorter than R S is shorter than R who is shorter than P who is taller than Q Who among P Q R and S is the shortest?

The answer is Q.

Greatest prime number that can be represented as both the sum of 2 prime numbers as well as difference of 2 prime numbers?

We will use the fact that if p prime, a divides p, then a = p or a = 1. Then if p + q = r, for primes p, q, r, then one of p,q,r is even, or all three are (consider mod 2). p = q = r = 2 clearly doesn't work, and p + q = 2 doesn't work for primes p,q >= 3. So without loss of generality p = 2, then r = q+2. r is also the difference of two primes, r = s - t. Again considering mod 2, knowing that r is odd, one of s or t is even (and so equal to 2). If s = 2 then r is negative, so t = 2, and we have q + 2 = r = t - 2, so t = q + 4. So we have q, r = q + 2 and t = q + 4 all prime. By considering q mod 3, one of them has a factor 3. If a prime has a factor 3, it is equal to 3. So q = 3, as q + 2 = 3 or q + 4 = 3 mean q is not prime. So, r = q + 2 = 5. Therefore, 5 is the only prime that can be represented as both the sum of two primes and the difference of two primes: 5 = 2 + 3 = 7 - 2. Since it is the only one, it is the greatest.

If p q and q r then p r. Converse statement B.A syllogism C.Contrapositive statement D.Inverse statement?

Converse: If p r then p q and q rContrapositive: If not p r then not (p q and q r) = If not p r then not p q or not q r Inverse: If not p q and q r then not p r = If not p q or not q r then not p r

When a whole number A is divided by another number B the quotient Q is 15 and remainder R is 5. If the sum of ABQ and R is equal to 2169 find A?

The question has no solution.If Q = 15 then ABQ is a multiple of 15 and so a multiple of 5.Then, if R = 5 then ABQ + R must also be a multiple of 5.Therefore ABQ + R cannot by 2169, which is NOT a multiple of 5.

How do you add and subtract rational numbers?

A rational number is a number of the form p/q where p and q are integers and q > 0.If p/q and r/s are two rational numbers thenp/q + r/s = (p*s + q*r) / (q*r)andp/q - r/s = (p*s - q*r) / (q*r)The answers may need simplification.

P varies jointly as q r and s One set of values is p equals 70 q equals 7 r equals 5 and s equals 4 Find p when q equals 2 r equals 15 and s equals 7?

If P varies jointly as q, r and s - assume this is in direct proportion, then P ∝ qrs so P = kqrs where k is a constant.70 = k x 7 x 5 x 4 = 140k : k = 140/70 = 0.5When q = 2, r = 15 and s = 7 then,P = 0.5 x 2 x 15 x 7 = 105

How prove that the set of irrational numbers are uncountable?

Proof By Contradiction:Claim: R\Q = Set of irrationals is countable. Then R = Q union (R\Q)Since Q is countable, and R\Q is countable (by claim), R is countable because the union of countable sets is countable. But this is a contradiction since R is uncountable (Cantor's Diagonal Argument). Thus, R\Q is uncountable.

How do you add similar proper fraction?

Two fractions are similar if they have the same denominator. So if p/r and q/r are two such fractions, then p/r + q/r = (p+q)/r.

Which letter is next but one after q?

In the alphabet the letter that comes after Q is the letter R. The letter that comes before Q would be P.
