If you mean, "what does rational mean", a rational number is any number that can be expressed as a fraction, with integers in the numerator and the denominator. Examples:1/3

5/2

2 2/3 (which is equal to 8/3)

7 (which is equal to 7/1)

-9/4

etc.


Numbers that CAN'T be expressed exactly as a fraction (with whole numbers) are called IRRATIONAL; they include the square root of 2 (as well as most square roots, cubic roots, etc.), pi, e, and many others.
