Acceleration is a measure of the rate of change of velocity.

Assume the question is, "A car accelerates from 25 kph to 55 kph in 30 sec what is its acceleration?

The formula for this calculation is v = u + ft : v = final velocity, u = initial velocity, f = acceleration, t = time. But all measurements have to be in related units. As speed is measured in kph then time needs to be converted to hours. 30 seconds = 1/2 minute = 1/120 hour

55 = 25 + f/120 : 30 = f/120 : f = 30 x 120 = 3600 kph2

As there are 3600 seconds in 1 hour then the acceleration can be stated as 1 kps2.

A car accelerates from 25 mi/hr to 55 mi/hr. What is its acceleration?

10.0 seconds

What is the average velocity of a car that accelerates from 15 meters per second to 25 meters per second in 10 seconds?

If the acceleration was constant (15 + 25) /2 = 20 (time does not figure into the averaging at all!)

What is the acceleration of an object that starts stopped and after 5 seconds is going 25mm per hour?

the acceleration is increasing speed Acceleration = velocity change / time velocity change = 0 to 25 mm/hr = 25 mm/hr time = 5 seconds therefore acceleration = 25/5 mm/hr per second = 5 mm per hour per second.

If a car takes 10 seconds to go from 0meters per second to 25 meters per second at constant acceleration what is the acceleration?

Acceleration = (change in speed) divided by (time for the change) = (25) / (10) = 2.5 meters per second2

A car entering a freeway ramp accelerates from 14 ms to 25 ms in 10 s what is the car's average acceleration during this 10 s?

it's approximate 35ms....

What is the acceleration of a car that goes form 0 miles per second to 25 miles per second in 3 seconds?

Acceleration = (change in speed) divided by (time for the change)Acceleration = (25 - 0)/(3) = 81/3 miles per second2Don't try this at home. That acceleration is about 1,368 G's. You can not survive it!

To pass a truck a car initially traveling 25 meters per second accelerates at a constant rate of 3 meters per second squared after 6 seconds how fast is the car traveling?

That's easy, if the car is initially traveling at 25 meters per second and gradually accelerates 3 meters per second for 6 seconds then the car is traveling at 43 meters per second.

The average acceleration of a car that goes 0 ms to 25 ms in 8.0 s is?

Not sure of your abbreviations. I'll assume that 'ms' = "meters per second", and 's' = "seconds" Change in speed = (25 - 0) = 25 meters per second Time = 8 seconds Average acceleration = (change in speed) / (time) = 25/8 = 3.125 meters per second2

50/25 = 2 miles per sec2

How do you find instantaneous acceleration from 5 m s to 25 m s is 4 seconds What is the rate?

Acceleration = rate of change of speed = (change of speed) / (time interval) = (25 - 5) / 4 = 20/4 = 5 m/s2

The initial speed of a car is 25 ms The driver needs to overtake another car and accelerates at a rate of 0.58 ms2 for 5.2 seconds How far does his car travel during this time?

What is the acceleration of a ball that starts from rest and rolls down a ramp and gains speed at 25 ms in 5 seconds?

Average acceleration during a time interval = (change in speed) divided by (time for the change) =(25) / (5) = 5 meters per second2
