Negative correlation, for two reasons. 1. People do not like to live in very cold places (think of the population near the Poles). 2. Population centres are hot spots due to man-made structures and activities. Buildings and roads absorb and retain heat more than nature. This micro-climate results in less snowfall (it melts before settling).

If 4 out of 32 students have a stamp collection, that means approximately 12.5% of the students have a stamp collection. Applying this percentage to the total number of students, we can expect approximately 70 students to have a stamp collection in a school with 560 students.

mrs.sung gave a test in her trigonometry class. the scores were normally distributed with a mean of 85 and a standard deviation of 3. what percent would you expect to score between 88 and 91?
what kind of correlation would you expect to find between a city's annual and the size of its population
The correlation between cricket chirps and the temperature is very approximate.
I would expect a positive correlation. The hotter it is, the more people want to cool down with an ice cream bar. This means that as the temperature goes up, so does the number of ice cream bars that people choose to buy.
I would expect a mild negative correlation. Girls tend to have smaller feet and so smaller shoe sizes and they tend t o score better at school.
A correlation coefficient close to 0 makes a linear regression model unreasonable. Because If the correlation between the two variable is close to zero, we can not expect one variable explaining the variation in other variable.
Things may be correlated without causal relationship or conversely. Consider the Modulus function - that is the value of a number without regard to its sign. Over any domain (-a,a), there is a very strict relationship between x and mod(x), but their correlation is 0. Conversely, I expect that there is a good correlation between my age and the number of TV sets in the world. That is not to say that my getting older is producing more TVs or that TV production is causing me to age. Simply that both of them are correlated to a third variable - time. There can be correlation without such a third variable but, offhand, I cannot think of an example.
Due to the circumstances surrounding your asking of that question here and now, whatever you may expect would bear only a coincidental correlation with the reality of the answer.(You can expect to hear from me whenever you please to, but expecting won't make it so.)
Teachers should treat students in the same manner as they would expect students to treat them.
Snow day: Day off from school, usually because the road conditions are too awful to expect a decent attendance. Snowy days are simply days when it snows!
what can you expect from yourself
Teachers expect compliance from their students.
stuff that they need to learn for there life in the future.l
