A rhombus is a quadrilateral whose four sides all have the same length. I think you are describing a trapezoid - a figure with only one set of parallel sides.
The formula for finding the area of a trapezoid is:
A = (s1 + s2) / 2 x h where s1 and s2 are the parallel sides and h is the height.
Basically this is our old "base times height" formula, but since our bases (the parallel sides) are not equal, we add them together and divide by 2 to get the average that we multiply times the height.
For your trapezoid the equation looks like this:
A = (15 + 17) x 7 /2
A = 32 x 7 /2
A = 112 cm2
