You don't. Square mileage covers surface area, whereas "miles" is a measure of a line. However, if you are asking how do you find the length, in miles, of the sides of a square, then all you have to do is take the square root of the area. In this case, the square root of 1685.22 is 41.05143.
You can not convert square miles ( area measure) to miles ( linear measure). They measure different things.
You can't convert miles to square miles. Miles measure distance, while square miles measure area.
None, a square mile is an area measure but a mile is a linear measure with no area.
Miles measure length, square miles measure area, and cubic miles measure volume.
You can't. Cubic miles is a measure of volume and square miles is a measure of area.
25 square meters
I make it an area of a square shape with sides 174 miles.
The sides are approx 34.64 miles each.
Hi there, square miles and miles are not really the same thing. Miles are a measure of distance while square miles are a measure of area. To answer your question though, for any rectangular piece of land, you can measure the distance/length of two sides in miles (start from any one corner) then multiply these two numbers together to get the total square miles in area. So: 20 miles x 30 miles = 600 square miles Or: 10 miles x 60 miles = 600 square miles etc... Regards, Peter.
Oklahoma's area is 69,898 square miles.
A four mile square is a square, each of whose sides is 4 miles long. Its area will be 4 miles * 4 miles = 16 square miles.
