Lift
Some planes do like a harier it could stop in the air
kites stay in the air they follow the air around the same things with bollons if they are let go they would fly away > moving air (wind ) is required, the angle of the kite gives vertical force to the kite, opposing gravity.
As an aircraft's wing moves through the air at speed the air on top of the wing is forced to follow a longer path than the air moving underneath the wing [due to the spahe of the wing] This reduces air pressure on the upper surface of the wing and creates lift.
Yes some do

Planes
The army doesn't have any planes, only helicopters. The Air Force has all the planes. The army does not have fighter planes, but they do have transport planes. The navy has planes as well. All fixed wing aircraft that carry army service members are piloted and owned by the air force. But yes, the navy does have a variety of planes based off of aircraft carriers.
