well if you have 6cm and 4cm it's not a square, it's a rectangle. you also mentioned that the length is 6cm. if you meant the area, this is length by width which is 24cm2. If you meant the perimeter this is 2w+2l, which is 20cm

Find the area of a square whose side is 38 cm.?

the answer is 1,444 square cm. since a square has an equal length of sides, you do length x width= area. the length and width are both 38 cm., so 38 x 38= 1,444 square cm.

If the area of square is 169cm find the length of the square?

Area = length x width. In a square, the length and width are the same measurement, since all four sides of a square are congruent. So instead of the familiar formula A = lw, you can use A = s2 where s is a side length. In this problem, you know the area but not the side length. You can still use the formula, plug in the value you know, and solve for s, the side length of the square. A = s2 169 = s2 s = square root of 169 s = 13 Each side of the square is 13 cm. The area is 13 cm x 13 cm = 169 square cm.

The length of a rectangle is twice the width the area is 72 square centimeters what is the length?

The width is 6 cm and the length is 12 cm.

The perimeter of a square is 20 cm What is the area of the same square?

Since a square has four sides of equal length, then each side of the square is 20/4 or 5 cm long. To find area, multiply length times width. Since length and width are the same in a square, multiply 5 times 5 to get 25 square cm. Remember area is always square units. The formula for area of a square is A = S2 where S is a side length.

What can be the length and width of this rectangle be if its area is 48 square cm?

One possibility is that it could have a length of 12 cm and a width of 4 cm

What is the width of the square if the area is 25 cm?

Since all sides of a square are equal and area is length times width, the width of the square is 5 cm.

How do you find a square length when you only have the area?

The area of a square is the "length x width" but as these are equal we can put that the area = L2.....where L is the side length of the square. If the value of the area is known then the square root of this figure provides the side length. Example : Area = 36 sq cm, Length L = √36 = 6 cm.

What are the length and width of a rectangle if the length is three times longer than the width and the area is 48 sq cm?

The length is 12 cm and the width is 4 cm and so 12*4 = 48 square cm

What is the area of a square?

A=s^2 (side squared)The area of a square is calculated by squaring the side length, because the two sides (length and width) are the same. For a rectangle, it would be L x W, but for a square, L=W.For example: If the side of the square is 5 cm, the area is (5 cm)x(5 cm) = 25 cm^2

Which is the area of a rectangle with a length of 26 cm and a width of 34 cm?

Just multiply the width and the length for a rectangle or a square. The answer is 884cm squared.

What is the side length of a square if its diagonal length is 100 cm?

The side length is 70.71 cm

What is the area of a square but is 4 cm on each side.?

The area of a square is length times width. Therefore, based on your question: 4 cm x 4 cm = 16 sq cm. So the area of your square is 16 square centimetres.
