The biggest limitation by far is that an exact solution is possible for only a small number of initial conditions. For example, one can figure out the solution for permitted states of one electron around a nucleus. However, there is no exact solution for even two electrons around a nucleus.

What is the limitation of Schrodinger equations and how spherical polar coordination should solve the problem?

the schrodinger wave equation was not able to solve the energy associated with multi-electron atoms. as the no. of electron increases the dimentions also increased hence the problem was solved by spherical polar coordinates .

Shapes of electron orbital are determined by what equations?

Why Hamilton's equations are called canonical equations?

The word canonical means "by a general law, rule, principle or criterion". When the Hamiltonian operator is applied to the (average momentum) wave function it gives quantized values. In this sense the Hamilton equations gives the Schrodinger equation discreet values by a general law.

Did Schrodinger have a cat?

Schrodinger did not actually have a cat. The "Schrodinger's cat" thought experiment was created by physicist Erwin Schrodinger to illustrate the concept of superposition in quantum mechanics.

What did the model of the atom proposed by Erwin Schrodinger suggest?

Schrodinger is the author of the well known equation; this equation can describe an atom. That there was a great deal of uncertainty as to where things were and that waves were as important as particles.

What year did Schrodinger make a model of the electrons surrounding the nucleus at a distance?

The Schrodinger equation is from January 1926.

Who created the wave?

What are the differences in the use of the time-dependent Schrodinger equation and the time-independent Schrodinger equation?

How did Erwin Schrodinger achieve quantum mechanics?

Erwin Schrodinger developed a wave equation, known as the Schrodinger equation, that describes how the quantum state of a physical system changes over time. This equation is a fundamental tool in quantum mechanics, providing a mathematical framework for predicting the behavior of particles at the quantum level. Schrodinger's work was crucial in the development of quantum mechanics as a coherent and successful theory.

What is the name of Schrodinger atomic model?

The Schrödinger atomic model is known as the Quantum Mechanical Model or the Wave Mechanical Model. It describes electrons in atoms as standing waves guided by probability equations rather than fixed circular orbits.

Who made the model?

Erwin Schrodinger
