Suppose the shorter side is 2x cm.

Then the longer side is 3x cm

By Pythagoras, (2x)2 + (3x)2 = 262

ie 4x2 + 9x2 = 262

so that 13x2 = 262

x2 =52

so that x = 2*sqrt(13)

Then perimeter = 10x = 20*sqrt(13)

What are all the ways a rectangle can be classified?

By the length of its sides, by its perimeter, by the ratio of its adjacent sides.

If sides of rectangle A to rectangle B has ratio 4 to 5. What would the perimeter of rectangle A if the rectangle B has a perimeter of 100 What about area of Rectangle A if the area of rectangle B is?

The perimeter of rectangle A would then be 80 because 80 to 100 is 4 to 5 simplified and the area of triangle A would depend on the sides and area of rectangle B which have not been given.

How many diagonal sides does a rectangle have?

A diagonal cannot be a side of a rectangle, and a side cannot be a diagonal.

What is perimeter of a rectangle with a side of 8 and diagonal of 10?

To find the perimeter of a rectangle we need to know the length of its sides. P = 2L + 2W Let L = 8, and W = √(102 - 82) = √(100 - 64) = √36 = 6 (by the Pythagorean theorem, where the hypotenuse is the diagonal and legs are the sides of the rectangle). Thus, P = 2(8) + 2(6) = 16 + 12 = 28.

If you have the diagonal and with of a rectangle how do you find the Perimeter?

Square the diagonal and take away the square of width, this gives you the square of the other side. Add the square root of the two sides and multiply by two.

How to Write an expression for the perimeter of a rectangle with a sides of 3x and 8y?

The perimeter of a rectangle is the sum of the four sides.

What is the perimeter of a rectangle with an area of 24cm?

The perimeter of the rectangle is the sum of its 4 sides.

Can you calculate a perimeter of a rectangle but not the length of its sides?

no No. You need to know the length of a rectangle's sides in order to calculate the perimeter.

What is the perimeter of rhombus having its diagonal 14m?

The length of one diagonal is not sufficient to determine its sides and so its perimeter.

If a rectangle has a perimeter of 70 feet what is the 4 to 5 length to width ratio?

If the length to width ratio is 4 to 5 then the length to width ratio is 4 to 5no matter what the perimeter. If the perimeter is 70 feet then the sides are 15.555... and 19.444... feet respectively.

What is the perimeter of a rectangle that has the radious of 15mm and 20mm?

The perimeter of a rectangle is the sum of its 4 sides.

How do you find the ratio of the perimeter of two similar rectangles?

The ratio of the perimeters is equal to the scale factor. If rectangle #1 has sides L and W, then the perimeter is 2*L1 + 2*W1 = 2*(L1 + W1).If rectangle # 2 is similar to #1 and sides are scaled by a factor S, so that L2 = S*L1 and W2 = S*W1, the perimeter of rectangle #2 is 2*(L2 + W2)= 2*(S*L1 + S*W1) = S*2*(L1 + W1) = S*(perimeter of rectangle #1).
