That depends on the dimensions !... A 1 x 18 rectangle has a perimeter of 38 ! A 2 x 9 rectangle has a perimeter of 22 ! A 3 x 6 rectangle has a perimeter of 18 !
You can't tell the perimeter from the area.Here are a few different rectangles and their perimeters.All of them enclose 12 square feet.1/2 x 24 .. . perimeter = 491 x 12 . . . . perimeter = 261.5 x 8 .. . . perimeter = 192 x 6 . . . . . perimeter = 162.4 x 5 .. . . perimeter = 14.83 x 4 . . . . . perimeter = 143.464 x 3.464 . . perimeter = 13.856
A hexagon has 6 sides, and if each side is 1 meter, we multiply this by the number of sides (6) to get 1 x 6 which is 6. Therefore, the perimeter is 6 meters.
First, think of the possible factors of the perimeter. Example.... 36 6 x 6 1 x 36 2 x 18 3 x 12 I will use 2 x 18. Now you divide both 2 and 18 by 2. That equals 1 and 9. Now multiple 1 x 9 = 18 so the perimeter of a 36 cm rectangle is 18 OR try 6 x 6 which reduces to 3 and 3, and their product is 9. I do believe that just the perimeter is insufficient data for a valid answer. =========================================== You can't. The perimeter doesn't tell the area. There are an infinite number of shapes with different dimensions and different areas that all have the same perimeter.
Perimeter is the sum of side lengths. P = 2x + (x+5) + (3x-6) = 6x - 1.
Perimeter is a measure of the distance around a given shape. Since a hexagon has 6 equal sides, in order to figure out the perimeter you would simply multiply the length of one side (one foot) by the number of sides (6):Perimeter = 1foot x 6 sides = 6 feet
The perimeter of the hexagon will be 30m (5m x 6 edges = 6 x 5 = 30m)
The perimeter of a rectangular shape such as a poster is 2 x length + 2 x width. In this example the perimeter = (2 x 3) + (2 x 6) = 6 + 12 = 18 feet
Perimeter = 2 lengths + 2 widths 1/2 perimeter = length + width Length = 1/2 perimeter - width Area = length x width That's (1/2 perimeter - width) x (width) .
Perimeter of rectangle: 2*(7+6) = 26 m
There are three possibilities.. 1 x 12... 2 x 6 & 3 x 4
Side length x 6 = perimeter
