None, really.

A projective is usually an object that is incapable of self-propulsion, and which is launched by an initial force. From that point on, it is acted upon by gravity (and if you are more advanced, by air resistance). Because of these forces, an object that is launched in an upward-sloping direction eventually starts moving downwards.

The decision to call the upward direction the positive (initial motion is positive but acceleration is negative) or as negative (initial motion is negative but acceleration is positive) is purely arbitrary. Moreover, there are not even conventions on this matter because there are cases where one or the other option has minor arithmetical advantages. No significance can be attached to something that is based on an arbitrary decision.

What is the significance of a shift to the left in a graph or data set?

A shift to the left in a graph or data set indicates a decrease or a negative change in the values being represented. It can signify a decrease in a variable or a shift towards lower values.

Which is the first quadrant in a coordinate grid?

The top right one... it is the first because it is where both the x-value and y-values are positive. The second quadrant is the top left. The x-values are negative and the y-values are postive. The third quadrant is the bottom left. The x-values are negative and the y-values are negative. The fourth quadrant is the bottom right. The x-values are positive and the y-values are negative.

What do you do when subtracting a positive and a negative?

If you subtract a negative from a positive, add both of their absolute values. If you subtract a positive from a negative, add both of their absolute values and multiply by negative one.

Why no negative values are chosen as values to substitute in for x?

They are, when appropriate.

Can probability values be negative?

No. Probability values always have to be positive.

What is the significance of negative values of voltages and currents?

Direction only. If you reverse the connections to your voltmeter or ammeter you get the same size readings but the directions are indicated to be the opposite way around, by reversal of sign.

What are the significance of values?

Rf Values determine the solubility of a substance with respect to a certain solvent.
