The sum of the measure of the angles of any polygon is 180 x (the number of sides - 2). So for a triangle it is 180*(3-2) = 180 degrees. So an octagon, 8 sides, is 180 x (8-2) = 180 x 6 = 1080 degrees. This is the same whether all the angles are equal or not.
