The metric system
They are the U.S. measurements. Instead of the Metric system that uses meters, the Customary system uses feet and inches.
Here in the United States we use the Standard System not the Metric System like the rest of the world uses.
1000. Just the same as in any other part of the world that uses the metric system.
Most of the world uses the SI system of measurements so weight is measured in grams, kilograms or tonnes. In the US the old ounces, pound and tons (Imoerial) system is used
Most countries use the metric system exclusively, or almost exclusively. There are three countries in the world that do not use the metric system: Liberia, The United States of America, and Myanmar.
The metric system
Right. Mexico uses the decimal system (meters, liters, Celsius).
The metric system uses kilograms, seconds and meters. Meters is a measurement typically used only in the metric system. Some units in the metric system are meters, centimeters, millimeters, and liters.
Physics has its own vocabulary. One measurement in physics is the Dyne. Physics also deals with vectors, tension and torque. Common to other sciences, physics uses the standard metric measures of grams, liters and meters.

because the rest f the world uses the metric system
In a country which uses the Metric System (as most do), yes.
Short answer: Metric System - grams; English system - pounds Long answer: There are two different measuring systems. One which mainly the US uses, the English units of measurements (feet, pounds, and gallons). Another is the Metric System, which the res of the world uses (meters, liters, grams). In the English system mass is measured in pounds. This is different than what people normally think of as pounds. When some on says "That weighs X pounds" they are saying it weighs the mass * acceleration due to gravity (32.17 ft/s2 ). This weight is in a unit called pound force. The Metric System is a lot easier. Mass is measured in grams, the weight would be measured in Newtons.
What is the system of measurement that uses inch, foot and yard?
The majority of the world uses the metric system, which incorporates meters as a base measurement of length. The United States is peculiar in retaining the old English measuring system of feet, pounds, quarts, etc.
That's the outdated system of units used mainly in the United States, which (among other things) uses feet and miles instead of meters and kilometers; gallons instead of liters; and pounds instead of kilograms.
The relevant SI bases are MKS.Length: cgs system uses centimetre, MKS uses metre = 100 centimetres. Mass: cgs system uses grams, MKS uses kilogram = 1000 grams. Time: they both use seconds.
