When half of the lighted side of the moon's surface can be seen, the moon looks like
a half circle filled in. Any less than that, and the moon appears crescent-shaped.
I suspect that you're not describing what you're imagining.
More than 1/4 of the moon is visible from roughly 7.4 days after the New Moon until roughly 7.4 days before the next New Moon ... about 14.8 days all together. That period of time begins at First Quarter phase, extends through the waxing gibbous, Full Moon, and waning gibbous phases, and ends at Third Quarter.
30 percent!
it means you stink! Whatever? It is the practice of skincare, i.e. waxing, facials, etc.
I have old (20 plus probably) Kentile flooring in my home that I would like to wax. They are very dull and only stay shiny for a short period of time when I wax them with just a generic floor wax such as Johnsons or Armstrong. Does anyone know the proper procedure for cleaning, sealing, waxing this type of floor? Vinyl flooring is the easiest flooring to maintain. It cleans up easily with a myriad of products. I prefer "Armstrong" vinyl floor cleaner. It is available at most supermarkets. Follow the instructions on the label. For deeper cleaning- particularly on textured vinyl- get on your hands and knees and use a scrub brush. I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results.
The full version of the Wiccan Rede describes casting the circle deosil and widdershins, when the moon is waxing and waning, respectively. Actually, whenever one is performing ritual where the target is to be banished or destroyed (note that this is not necessarily evil, since the banishment of a bad habit, such as drug addiction, or the destruction of a cancerous tumor, would actually be a good thing -- maybe even life saving!), then it may be argued that a widdershins casting of the circle is appropriate. The calling of the quarters, etc. would also proceed widdershins. At the conclusion of the ritual, the dismissing of the quarters and opening of the circle would proceed deosil. These types of rituals would usually be timed for the waning of the moon (such as at a Dark Moon Ritual), but when that's not always an option -- when you need magic, you need it and waiting for a couple of weeks may not be an option.
"First Quarter", roughly 7.4 days after the New Moon.
That's "First Quarter", roughly 7.5 days after New Moon.
"waxing"

New Moon, Waxing Crescent Moon, First Quarter Moon, Waxing Gibbous Moon, Full Moon.
When the lighted part of the moon grows it is a "waxing moon".

That's the one called "First Quarter", taking place about 7.4 days after the New Moon.
