There are a few essential components needed to successfully set up a network for an office. The most important components will be an Ethernet router. The size of the router and the number of ports will depend on the amount of people that will be connected to the router. Ethernet cabling is also essential to connect the computers to the router. Connecting the router to a modem is also necessary in order to connect all the computers on the network to the internet.

This depends on the context of the questions your asking. A network computer would be considered any computer or operating system on the network that is addressable. In most small networks though, a small computer is often used as network server for storage or other puroses. Switches are used for connectivity in a wired network to provide connection from client to server. The types of networks that use moderately capable computer are quite small though often consisting of merely 15 computers or less, which in terms of networking is very small.

There are multiple way to wire in a network. Most common type in a small office or home would be cat5E Cable. Most practical and cost efficient. Now if you have a larger office building and need to interconnect floors, you would use fiber wire. There has been some alternate runs using RG6 etc. However at the end of the day you would need to look at your design, the distance, what speeds and amount of data that you are going to push on the network (video, Voip etc) Once you have all the basic information, that would be your road map on designing and implementing your network.
The network window displays a list of computers in the workgroup of the computer. Workgroups offer easy access to share files and printers, etc between computers on a local network. It is most commonly used in an office setting.
