Hi Pythagoras founded the Mathematical Brotherhood, In around 530 B.C.

He and his followers believed that each number was a god, and worshipped them, wacky huh. although perfectly understandable another Egyptian mathmatician thought to be ahmes wrote that the scroll he had written (containing mathematical operations) And i quote(well translated anyway) "the scroll gives an acurate knowledge of all things, mysteries...all secrets"
