I have not used the brand of fertilizer you are speaking of, but I know from experience that for other big name brand fertilizers, a scotts spreader would be set around 5 1/4 on the dial.

While it is not exact these settings will provide a general guide when applying powdered or pelletized lime using most Scotts Spreaders. Please note we always suggest testing the pH level prior to an application of lime, to ensure that it would be reuqired and it takes roughly 40#-50# per 1,000 sq ft of lime to change the pH of the soil 1 level. and it can take up to 6 months for the change to occur in the soil.Turf Builder Drop Spreaders/AccuGreen/Scotts metal drop (including PF models) spreader:10# per 1000 sq. ft. - Setting of 11.530# per 1000 sq. ft. - Setting of 1240# per 1000 sq. ft. - Setting of 15.550# per 1000 sq. ft. - Setting of 17.5Basic/Turf BuilderDeluxe/Turf BuilderEdgeGuard (Mini and DLX)/Standard/LP Standard/SpeedyGreen/EdgeGuard:30# per 1000 sq. ft. - Setting of 1040# per 1000 sq. ft. - Setting of 7.5, go over the area twice50# per 1000 sq. ft. - Setting of 7, go over the area three timesEasyGreen spreader:10# - Setting of 2830# - Setting of 27, go over the area three times40# - Setting of 27, go over the area four times50# - Setting of 27, go over the area five times

Depending on how much lime you wish to spread on your lawn or garden, the setting will vary. To achieve an application rate of 1.75 lbs. per 1000 square feet a setting of 3 is used. An application rate of 2.25 lbs. for the same area requires a setting of 3.5 and 3.5 lbs. per 1000 square feet can be reached with a setting of 4.

What is the setting for a standard scott's spreader with lesco product?

This is a tricky question since there are different kind of scott spreaders and the lesco products doesn't list the settings for all of the scott's spreaders. I use the standard Scott spreader. What I figured out is that the spreader number represents the amount of pounds of product per 1000 sq ft. Example: if you want to apply 4lbs/1000 sq ft of product then use setting 4. If you want to apply 8lbs/1000 sq ft then use setting 8. Always remember not to go over the maximum amt of product per year. This is important when applying lesco pre-emergent and post-emergent since it can affect the PH of the soil. I also found this chart. The standard Scott spreader setting goes from 1 to 18.GENERIC SETTINGS - Rotary / Broadcast SpreadersApplication Rate3 lbs/1,000 sq. ft4 lbs/1,000 sq. ft5 lbs/1,000 sq. ftSpreader Range1 -- 102½3½41 -- 183451 -- 241416181 -- 40253033

What is the conversion between Scott spreader settings and lbs per square foot?

This is pretty simple, but not well documented. The Scott's standard broadcast spreader setting is based on the number of pounds per 1000 square feet. For the product below, the application rate is 11.5 lbs/5000 square feet. If you reduce this, it becomes 2.3 lbs/1000 square feet... so the setting should be 2.3 --------------- http://www.scotts.com/smg/products/ortho/outdoor_bug_killers/fire_ants/pdf/08%20FAK%20bag%20cropped.pdf The same: 2.5! See new label pd above. Took me forever to find this. --------------- This conversion only works on Scott's or similar products that have a uniform prill size. If products have a variable prill size and weight this conversion will not work out correctly.

What is the setting on scotts speedy green 2000 for 10 lb per 1000 square ft?

It really depends on the size of the product that you are putting down. Tiny pieces of per-emergent or pest control product will empty much faster on a setting of say 6 than a larger product like fertilizer. So settings will vary. To effectively and responsibly apply your product I'd suggest that you contact the manufacture of the spreader or the material you are spreading.
