You look up the conversion factor, then either multiply or divide by that conversion factor. example: an inch has 2.54 cm., so to convert from inches to cm. you multiply by 2.54; to convert from cm. to inches, you divide by 2.54.

I'm actually doing my bachelor of nursing. the math that we are required to know is multiplication, division, converting metric units, comparing metric measurement, multiplication of decimals, simplifying fractions, rounding off decimal numbers, fractions to a decimal and multiplication of fractions. hope this helps
You don't do exponents: you do something with them. You can add them, multiply them etc. And the appropriate process depends on the operation being carried out. So the question needs to be more specific.
divide
