In a perfectly symmetrical bell-shaped normal distribution?

Normal distribution is a perfectly symmetrical bell-shaped normal distribution. The bell curve is used to find the median, mean and mode of a function.

What is the shape of a normal distribution?

It is a symmetrical, "bell-shaped" curve. The tails are infinitely long.

What do you call the bell shaped curve that represents a symmetrical distribution of scores?

You call it a bell shaped curved. It may or may not be Gaussian (Normal).

Normal distributions are asymmetrical and bell-shaped?

No. They are symmetrical and bell-shaped.

Another name for the Normal Distribution?

Gaussian distribution. Some people refer to the normal distribution as a "bell shaped" curve, but this should be avoided, as there are other bell shaped symmetrical curves which are not normal distributions.

Why if a probability distribution curve is bell shaped why is this a normal distribution?

A bell shaped probability distribution curve is NOT necessarily a normal distribution.

Deviation IQ scores produce a normal curve that is shaped roughly like?

it is shaped roughly like a bell... a bell curve.

What kind of graph is a bell shaped curve?

The bell curve graph is another name for a normal (Gaussian) distribution graph. A Gaussian function is a certain kind of function whose graph results in a bell-shaped curve.

What is a bell curve?

A bell curve is a symmetrical bell-shaped graph curve that represents the arrangement of values, how often something occurs, or probability of occurance of a set of data. It slopes downward from a point in the middle corresponding to the average also called mean value, or the maximum probability. Gather all the results of an IQ test and make a graph of them, would create a bell curve with average IQ being the mean value. The more results or values, the better the bell curve. It can be made with a line graph or a bar graph.

Is a bell shaped curve an example of a skewed distribution?

No.
