Feet are tan because oompa loompas took over the planet many years ago and decided to spray everyones feet with tanning solution, therefore, our feet are tan.

What is Tan 56 degrees x 6 feet?

8.895 feet (rounded)

Hunter in a tree 90 ft above the ground see 2 deer. 1 is due west at at angle of depression 34 degrees and other due east at angle depression 58 degrees how far part to nearest whole number are they?

West. tan theta = opposite/adjacent you have opposite, 90 feet, you want adjacent ( degree mode) tan 34 degrees = 90 feet/adj. adjacent = 90 feet/tan 34 degrees = 133.4 feet ------------------------same for east tan 58 degrees = 90 feet/adj. adjacent = 90 feet/tan 58 degrees = 56.2 feet ------------------- 133.4 feet + 56.2 feet = 190 feet is the distance 2 deer are apart

What is the approximate height of a building when the angle of elevation at the top of a building is 34 degrees and at a point 80 feet closer the angle of elevation is 45 degrees?

It can be shown that:height = (d tan α tan β)/(tan α - tan β)where: α is the angle closest to the objectβ is the angle further away from the objectd is the distance from the point of angle α to the point of angle βThus: height = (80 ft × tan 45° × tan 34°)/(tan 45° - tan 34°) ≈ 165.78 ft

How much 1 degree rise in 100 feet?

The rise is calculated as the horizontal run distance times the tangent of the angle (tan angle = rise/run). Since tan 1 degree is 0.0175 the rise is 100 x .0175 = 1.75 feet

If you travel 200 feet at an angle of 5 degrees what would be your altitude?

The tangent of 4 degrees would be equal to x/200, where x is the altitude in feet. tan(5) = x/200 tan(5)*200 = x x is about 17.4977, so, if you started at 0 feet, your altitude would be about 17.4977 feet.

A 20 deg. angle is the rise of a ramp built inside a stadium for people to move from the main level 18 feet to the 2nd floor. How long is the ramp?

If the length of the ramp is L feet, then tan(20) = 18/L so that L = 18/tan(20) = 49.45 feet.

How do you get angle size of a 60 feet multiply 90 feet?

5400

The shadow of a vertical tower is 58 feet long when the angles of elevation of the sun is 36 degrees. what is the height of the tower to the nearest foot?

tan(36) = H/58 where H is the height of the tower. So H = 58*tan(36) = 42 feet.

What is the height of a building if the angle of elevation to the top from a point on the ground is 31.4 degrees and from 53 feet further back it is 26.4 degrees?

It can be shown that:height = (d tan α tan β)/(tan α - tan β)where: α is the angle closest to the objectβ is the angle further away from the objectd is the distance from the point of angle α to the point of angle βThus: height = (53 ft × tan 31.4° × tan 26.4°)/(tan 31.4° - tan 26.4°) ≈ 140.87 ft

What is the height of a hill when the angle of elevation to the top of the hill from a point is 50 degrees and is 30 degrees from a point 40 feet farther away from the base of the hill?

It can be shown that:height = (d tan α tan β)/(tan α - tan β)where: α is the angle closest to the objectβ is the angle further away from the objectd is the distance from the point of angle α to the point of angle βThus: height = (40 ft × tan 50° × tan 30°)/(tan 50° - tan 30°) ≈ 44.80 ft

What is the angle in a rise of 2 feet in 4.5 feet?

On any scientific calculator, calculate the arctan (inverse tan, tan-1) of (2 / 4.5). Make sure the calculator is using the correct type of angular measure (degrees or radians, depending on what you want).
