It can, but the vernier is capable of a more accurate reading.
the main thing is that you just need to cut it equally before measuring.then you can measure it by putting it horizontally along a meter rule.or you can measure it with the help of vernier calliper.
A vernier caliper.
For measuring the length of a laboratory table, it is better to use a meter stick. Meter sticks are commonly used for linear measurements and are more appropriate for measuring larger objects like tables. Vernier calipers are typically used for smaller, more precise measurements of objects with intricate details.
The correct spelling would be vernier callipers, or vernier calipers depending on which country you come from. They are used for measuring the inner distance between two surfaces. (e.g. if your tube material is 1 cm thick, and 5 cm across on the outside surface, the vernier calipers would show a distance of 3 cm.
My mooom and the advantage in meausurung with vernier caliper and the micro meter is grams mass length volume and all that measuring stuff
micro meter least count in British system
It's more precise.
If you have calibrated eyeballs
your best bet would be a vernier calliper which are accurate, depending on how close you want to be you could also use a micrometer which gives you to the nearist 100th of a mm. great for measuring but you need to be able to read them ok, hope this is of use. your best bet would be a vernier calliper which are accurate, depending on how close you want to be you could also use a micrometer which gives you to the nearist 100th of a mm. great for measuring but you need to be able to read them ok, hope this is of use.
there is a big different between the vernier caliper and micro meter caliper, the vernier caliper they can use the outside and inside measurement while the micro meter caliper it's just only use outside measurement..
Vernier calipers is more convenient to use compared to the external and internal calipers because vernier caliper by its own could be used as external and internal calipers. When using Vernier caliper you can identify the measurement withtout using ruler, meter stick etc. but the internal and external calipers rely on measuring tools to know the exact measurement... You cannot get 300cm into a meter. A meter is 100cm long. Therefore 300cm is equal to a meter.
