First, It's called the customary system not the English system. And when the first explorers moved here, their goal was to be different form where they came from, so they invented the customary system!
dts cuz metric system is easier for calculation as its divided into 10 parts....while d English system is for more specific reasons.
Because it has never considered it necessary to change.
both imperial and metric system is used but scientist use the metric system the most.the metric system is also called the international system also known as the SI unit.
The US does not use the metric system.
The metric system in universal around the world whereas the customary system is only used in the US. For this reason scientists and mathmeticians all use the metric system because it creates a sort of universal language so there is no translating.
Personally I think the metric system is better because it is easier in my opinion. When you think about it though, pretty much every teacher in the US has taught their students through the metric system and to change it would be complicated and the parents would even be confused too.
The United States is one of few countries in the world that still uses the Imperial and/or US customary measurement system in which distance is measured in feet and inches, weight is measured in pounds and ounces, area is measured in acres, volume is measured in gallons. The United States, for whatever reason, has opted to keep this system of measurement, even though pretty much the rest of the world has adopted the metric system.
In the old days the English created the imperial system (the us still use this system). But nowadays they use the metric system.

The US has not converted to the Metric System yet. We are still using the English Customary.

Yes, we use the Metric system. Celsius, Metres, and all that. Although most of us can use either system.
There is no individual unit in the Metric system that is near one inch in the English system, I'm afraid.
Yes they do use only the metric system
Every civilised country in the world uses the metric system.
SI is more universally used because even outside of science, the metric system is more used than the English. Very few countries use the English system.
