Grease paper is translucent. It let's a bit of light through but not all.

Card board is opaque. It lets no light through.

Therefore, the shadow cast by cardboard will be darker and more defined whereas the grease paper lets light through, making the shadow lighter and less focused.

A 6 ft tall tent standing next to a cardboard box casts a 15 ft shadow. if the cardboard box casts a shadow that is 6 ft long then how tall is it and explain?

It is 2.4 ft high. The distance from the earth to the sun is sufficiently large so that the sun's beams can be assumed to be parallel. Also, it is necessary to assume that the ground over which the shadows are cast is level. Then the triangle formed by the apex of the tent, its base and the tip of its shadow can be shown to be similar to the triangle formed by the top of the box, its base and the tip of the shadow. Then, using equal rations, the box is 2.4 ft tall.
