a repeated shape or object
Exactly the same as for a non-floating object. Finding the volume of a shape does not vary, (i.e it's always something along the lines of height*width*depth, or area of base *height. "Table" or "surface" is irrelevant, since if it not a variable in the formula). This is true whether the object is floating or not.
The volume of liquid displaced has the same mass as the floating object.
10 metres in 5 seconds is a speed of 2 metres/second, or 120 metres/minute = 7200 metres/hour or 7.2 kilometres/hour.
A point at a distance of x metres from the centre of an object travels through 2*pi*x metres for each revolution. So if the object is rotating at r revolutions per second, the point in question is travels through 2*pi*x*r metres in a second.
A floating object is an object that is floating, which is a floating object. Which = floating object.
A floating object can be moved independently of the surrounding text characters.
A floating object can be moved independently of the surrounding text characters.
The buoyant force on a floating object is equal to the object's weight out of water.
The density is important; for floating an object must have a density under the water density (1 g/cm3).
the process in using the arrow keys to move and object in small precise increments
An object will float if it has less density than the fluid it is placed in. Floating is the result of the fact that there is a higher pressure at the bottom of the floating object, than at the top.

[object Object]
A floating object has a density less than what it is floating in. If an object has more density than the medium it is placed in, the medium will be unable to hold the object. The object will, therefore, sink.
