The theorem can be written as an equation:

a2 + b2 = c2

where c represents the length of the hypotenuse, and a and b represent the lengths of the other two sides.

1. side squared plus 2. side squared is equal to hypotenuse squared.

If you have c= 10cm

b=4cm

then you can calculate the a using this theorem.

c2 = a2 + b2

a2 = c2 - b2

a = √a2

( a= √c2-b2 )
