Let the area be x2 and the perimeter be 4x:

x2 = 4x

x2-4x = 0

x(x-4) = 0

x = 0 or x = 4

So: 42 = 4*4 which is the same as 16 = 16

But remember that the area is in square units while the perimeter is in linear units.
