If the equation is 6y - 3x - 2 = 0

6y - 3x - 2 = 0

6y = 3x + 2

y = (1/2)x + 2

The slope is 1/2.

If the equation is 6y = -3x - 2

y = -(1/2)x - 2

The slope is -1/2.
