That is not correct. All triangles make squares. You just have to cut the triangle up to make the square except with right triangles.

If you draw 2 equilateral triangles that are congruent and share a side what polygon is formed is it a regular polygon?

it should make a square leaned over

Can equilateral triangles be isosceles triangles?

no. Equilateral triangles have all equal sides. Isoceles triangles only have 2 congruent sides. Isosceles triangles have 2 equal sides.

How can you make 4 equilateral triangles with 6 stick when the sticks are already in 2 triangles and you can only move one?

Sort of depends on how the two triangles are beforehand. One nice way to make four equilateral triangles from six matchsticks is to make a tetrahedron (a triangular pyramid).

How are equilateral triangles and isosceles triangles different?

Equilateral triangles have 3 equal sides whereas isosceles triangles have only 2 equal sides

How do you compare and contrast an equilateral triangle and a square?

Differences: Squares have 4 sides / equilateral triangles have 3 sides. Squares have 90 degree angles / equilateral triangles have 60 degree angles. Squares have 2 diagonals / equilateral triangles have none Similarities: All sides of the shape are congruent All angles of the shape are congruent

How do you put a square and 2 triangles together to make a square?

What shape is made out of two congruent triangles?

If you have 2 EQUILATERAL triangles, and you stack them on their respective hypotenuses, the result: SQUARE. If you have 2 ISOSCELES triangles, and you stack them on their respective hypotenuses, the result: RECTANGLE. If you have 2 OBTUSE triangles, and you stack them on their respective hypotenuses, the result: PARALLELOGRAM.

Can 2 triangles make a square or a rectangle?

Yes, they can. To demonstrate this draw a square on a sheet of paper. Draw a line diagonally from one corner to the one opposite. Cut along this line and you will have two triangles. Take them apart; if you put them together again in the right way you will have a square. Put together in different ways you can make an isosceles triangle or an equilateral parallelogram. If you do the same thing beginning with a rectangle, you will be able to reassemble the triangles to form a rectangle, isosceles triangle or a (non-equilateral) parallelogram.

Is an isosclels triangle equal to an equilateral triangle?

No, they are not. Isosceles triangles have 2 equal sides and equilateral triangles have 3 equal sides.

What shape can you make out of 2 triangles?

a square
