Ummmm.....the obvious answer would seem to be that the size is 36 meters squared.

But I guess what you are asking is the for the dimensions on a side.

A 36 square meter area could be a square 6 meters on a side, a rectangle 12 by 3 meters on a side, or a rectangle 1 by 36 meters.
