Get both equations of the form y = mx + c by transposition and simplification.

Then on a graph sheet, draw the x and y axes centerd on the sheet. Locate the origin as the point where the x and y axes intersect and mark them as (0,0). Assign values (form 0 to say 20 in steps of 1) to x in the first equation and compute the corresponding y value and plot the points. Draw a line connecting the points. Do the same with the second equation. Mark the point where the two lines interset. Find the x-coordiante value of this intersection point from the graph. This is the solution of the two equations. It may be necessary to adjust the scaling and the number of steps to fit the plots within a graph sheet.

How do you solve 2-3y18 plus y?

That is an expression so it can't be solved but it can be simplified(2-3y) * 18 + y36 - 54y + y-53y + 36

Determine whether -3 -5 is a solution of -x-3y18?

It's false:) work: (-3,-5) you plug -5 for x and -5 for y and solve it you will get the answer:) -(-3)-3(-5)<18 3+15<18 18<18.. 18 is not less than 18:)))))

Is 2x 3y18 an algebraic expression?

Yes. Any problem you see with variables (any letter in a problem) is an algebraic equation.

What is -x plus 3y6 and x plus 3y18 solved by substitution?

If you mean: -x+3y = 6 and x+3y = 18 then by substitution x = 6 and y = 4
