Answer:A yard is a distance, whereas ft2 is a measure of area. Thus, there are no ft2 in a yard. However, if you meant square yards, there are 3(3) = 9 ft2 in a square yard.

Note that a yard is 3 feet.

NONE!!!!

Square feet is a measure of AREA

Yard is a measure of LINE.

However,

The linear Table is

12 inches = 1 foot

3 feet = 1 yard.

Hence for

Square Feet to SQUARE Yards

3ft x 3 ft = 1 yd x 1 yd =>

9 sq.ft. = 1 sq.yd.

This is the Imperial Linear Table. . Note the use of 'sq' ( square) to indicate area. NOT ft^)2) nor yd^(2)

Similarly, Note the use of 'cu'(cubic) to indicate volume . NOT ft^(3) nor yd^(3)

The full Imperial Table of Linear Measure is

12 inches = 1 foot

3 feet = 1 yard

22 yards = 1 chain

10 chains = 1 furlong

8 furlongs = 1 mile.

The full Imperial Table of Area Measure is

144 sq inches = 1 sq.foot

9 sq.feet = 1 sq.yard

484 sq.yards = 1 sq. chain

100 sq.chains = 1 sq. furlong

64 sq. furlongs = 1 sq. mile.
