An irrational number is any real number that can not be written in the form A/B, where A and B are integers and B is not 0.

Since .12345 can be written as 12345/100000 (or 2469/20000) it is not an irrational number.

Some of the best known Irrational Numbers are pi, e, and the square root of 2.
