It is BIDMAS (UK) or PEMDAS (US). Not sure about other countries.

What is it called to carry out math operations in the correct order or substitute a value for a variable and solve an expression?

Order of Operations

Why do you need to agree on an order of operations?

It has nothing to do with agreement or negotiation. There's only one order of operations that leads to the correct outcome.

Why is important that everyone follows the same order of operations?

Simple answer - people would get different answers. When it comes to Arithmetic, there is just one correct answer and that comes by following the correct order of operations :-)

Why is the order of operations important?

It's not important at all, unless for some reason you want to end up with the correct answer. If you do the operations in a different order, the result will be wrong.

Why do you need bodmas?

So as to work out mathematical problems in the correct order of operations

Can you skip steps or rearrange order of operations?

NO the idea is to get to the correct answer and not interpret the order the wrong answer may appear

Why mathematicians had to agree on an order of operations to be used to simplify a numerical expression?

It has nothing to do with agreement or negotiation. There's only one order of operations that leads to the correct outcome.

What Order of operations is defined as?

The order of operations is a rule that tells the correct sequence of steps for evaluating a math expression. We can remember the order using PEMDAS: Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication and Division (from left to right), Addition and Subtraction (from left to right).

Why is it important to use order of operation?

you need to because if you follow the order of operations then you will get the question correct. If you don't then you won't. Simple as that

How do you evaluate algebraic expressions?

Replace the variables with the correct values and calculate using the order of operations

Why can't you use a math calculator to do order of operations?

One very powerful reason is: Order of operations is not something that you "do". 'Order of operations' is a rule, method of procedure, standard operating procedure, and protocol, that guides you in the effective and correct way to actually "do" the things that you "do" in arithmetic. The calculator is one place where you can 'do' them.
