Multiplication is simply 'complex addition'. Take, for example, the sum 6x7. If you add 7+7+7+7+7+7 you get 42 - which is the same result of multiplying 6x7 3x4 is the same as 3+3+3+3 etc.
The basic rules of algebra are as follows... * Remember when moving a constant from one side to another, you must apply new value. (ie. positive or negative number) 5+x=25/5+5-5=25-5/x=5 You must remember to isolate the unknown value (more commonly known as a variable) in order to solve an equations. 5x+4=x+20/ Group variable on one side, constants on other. 5x-x=20-4/4x=16/x=4 You may only add, subtract, multiply and/or divide coefficients and variables which are the same. (ie.x+x/2x+3x) After you have finished solving your equation, the order of variables are as follows this- alphabetical order, and then its the highest exponent sum. (ie. x+y4+z7) If requested, present a Left-Side Right-Side check. * Commutative property: a+b = b+a, ab = ba * Associative property: a+(b+c) = (a+b)+c = a+b+c, a(bc) = (ab)c = abc * Identities: a+0 = a, 1a = a * Distributive property of multiplication over addition: a(b+c) = ab+ac The first three properties have an versions for addition and multiplication. Division and subtraction are not commutative or associative. The distributive property ties addition and multiplication together. One important concept is the order of operations. Parentheses establish precedence. Multiplication and division occur first, left to right, and then addition and subtraction. Thus, 5+3x4 = 17, not 32. Other key concepts are the slope/intercept form of a line, y=mx + b, where m=slope and b=y intercept. Memorize the quadratic equation--it will prove very useful. And above all else, learn how to do ratios and proportions.
6x5y5
That is simple. The answer is -5x4or to find x it is x=-4 over 5
it's 5
The commutative property works for adding and multiplying e.g. 2+4=4+2 and 3x4=4x3. But it doesn't work for subtraction and division so 5-3≠3-5 and 6÷2≠2÷6 so subtraction and division could be considered as exceptions.
It applies to numbers and says that a number can be added and multiplied in any order. Example- 4x3=3x4.
The Associative property of multiplication states that the product of a set of three numbers is always the same no matter which operation is carried out first.For example Ax(BxC) = (AxB)xC and so either can be written as AxBxC.ie 3x(4x5) = 3x20 = 60and (3x4)x5 = 12x5 = 60It is important not to confuse this with the commutative (or Abelian) property which states that the order of the numbers does not matter. ie AxB = BxAMatrix multiplication, for example, is associative but NOT commutative.(a * b) * c = a * (b * c)As a result, we can write a * b * c without ambiguity.
3x4 = 12 and 4x3 = 12
In mathematics, a "quotient" is the solution to a multiplication problem. For example, in the equation "3 times 4 equals 12" (3x4=12), the quotient is "12".
the product (the product of 3x4=12)
12
An operation is commutative if it can be done front to back or back to front like addition. 2+3=5 and 3+2=5 but division is not 6/3=2 but 3/6= .5
3x4+1
Because 3 x 4 = 12
-7.5?
the answer is 12 3x4 equals to 12
