then youre running about 8.5:1 compression
150 psi should not vary by more than 10 psi between cylinders
Normal compression on a gasoline engine is about 125 psi.
The ratio is 9.5.1 in the 350 vortec. Doing a compression test you should not have any below 100 psi and all should be similar to each other.
My truck runs about 140 psi, but was rebilt recently. 120psi is normal for a truck with normal wear.
200 psi
87 - 04 compression standard 121 psi minimum 114 psi max 128 psi
251.37
The book says Standard: 121 psi (850 kPa) Minimum: 114 psi (800 kPa) Maximum: 128 psi (900 kPa) but this is for at sea level, not sure what it is supposed to be at any where else such as at 5000 feet which is what I am trying to figure out.
"600 psi" is not a compression ratio; it's a pressure. For a RATIO, you need to compare TWO different numbers.
Engine compression psi? Radiator cap psi? Engine oil pressure psi? Tire pressure psi? Fuel pressure psi?
With a compression gauge.
