Probably "high tension lead" (UK English) which translates to "high voltage wire" in American English which as far as automotive use goes usually refers to a "secondary ignition wire" also commonly known as a "spark plug wire".

"high tension lead" or "high voltage wire" could also refer to a high voltage wire (usually orange in color) used in a gas/electric hybrid vehicle. These wires carry much lower voltages than ignition wires, but at much higher current so they're much better suited for being involved in an accidental death of a service worker.
