I assume you mean 1/5?
If so, the easiest way to convert 1/5 to a percent is to always remember that EVERY digit in our number system represents a power of ten...
So if you were to divide 10 by 5 you would get 2, right?
BUT
You're not dividing 10 by 5... you're dividing 1 by 5 (that's what 1 over 5 or 1/5 means).
So... instead of giving you an answer in front of the decimal point, the answer will be behind the decimal point - like this:
10 / 5 = 2.0
1 / 5 = 0.2
Guess what 1/50 would equal?
1 / 50 = 0.02
A percentage is a sliding scale between nothing (0%) and 1 whole (100%).
So that means 1 = 100% and anything to the right of the decimal place is less than 100%.
So...
1.00 = 100%
0.50 = 50%
0.20 = 20%
0.02 = 2%
You originally asked what 1/5 was as a percentage... it's 1/5 = 0.2 = 20%.
See what I mean? Isn't maths fun? ^^

To convert a fraction to a decimal, divide the numerator by the denominator. If you want to convert a decimal to a percent, multiply it by 100. If you want to make a percent a fraction, just put it over 100 and then simplify. To change a fraction to a percent, divide the fraction and then multiply it by 100.
Change the ratio into a fraction and change the fraction into a percent. For example: 9:100 - Ratio 9/100 - Fraction 9% - Percent Example 2: 5:20 5/20 5/20 = 25/100 (You denominator *20* x *5* will equal 100) 25%
It is: 120% is 1.20 as a decimal and 6/5 as a fraction
1/5
5% = 5/100 = 1/20 = 0.05
5 percent in a simplified fraction is: 1/20
60 percent into a fraction is 60/100 or 3/5.
1/20 is the fraction for 5 percent.
To change a demcial to a fraction you have to....... 1. Say if they give you the number 0.05 this number is 5 hundredths 2. Now to change it into a demical you put the hundredths on the bottom and the 5 on the top
5% = 0.05 or 1/20
6/5
2/5
To convert a fraction into percent, divide the top number (numerator) by the bottom number (denominator). eg. 5/8 = 5 ÷ 8 = .625 -or- Change your fraction to a decimal, and then move the decimal point over 2 spots to the right. Example: 1/4=.75=75%To change a fraction into a percent you have to divide the top of the fraction by the bottom, multiply by 100 and then add a % sign.
20 percent is 0.2 in decimals thus it is 1/5 as a fraction.
