To convert a fraction to a percent, divide the denominator into the numerator and multiply the result by 100.
3/4 = 3 divided by 4 = 0.75 = 75%
To take a percentage of a fraction, convert both the fraction and the percentage to decimals and multiply:
75% of 3/4 = 0.75 x 0.75 = 0.5625 = 9/16
Or convert the percentage to a fraction and multiply:
75% of 3/4 = 3/4 of 3/4 = 9/16
You can take any percent and divide it by 100 to get the appropriate fraction. In this example, 65 percent as a fraction would be: 65/100 = 13/20 This even works if the percent is over 100. For example, 325 percent as a fraction would be:: 325/100 = 13/4 or 3 1/4
One way to change a percent into a fraction is to take the percent number and but the denominator as 100. For example if the percent number was 43 then that would be your numerator and 100 would be your denominator so it should be 43/100. Percent means out of 100 so your denominator should be 100 unless you simplify your fraction.
Well, sweetheart, to write 137 percent as a fraction, you simply take 137 and put it over 100 because percent means "per 100." So, 137 percent as a fraction is 137/100. It's as easy as pie, darling!

Converting a fraction to a percent.
-- A fraction is just a shorthand way of writing a division problem. When you see a fraction, it means (the top number) divided by (the bottom number). -- Take the fraction. Set up the division problem, and do the division. -- The answer to the division is the decimal form of the fraction. -- Take the decimal form. Move the decimal point in it two places to the right. Now you have the percent that's equal to the fraction.
This is how i do it! Take the percent and place it over 100 (100 is supposed to be the denominator!) Then you take the percent sign off of the percent number (2) and simplify to its lowest terms! Then you should have 1/50.
