When changing any percent to a decimal all you have to do is move the decimal point to the left two spaces:

.2% = 0.002

5% = 0.05

12.3% = 0.123

50% = 0.5

75.6% = 0.756

100% = 1.0

125% = 1.25

This decimal form is what you get when figuring out the percentage of a number, such as:

What percent of 10 is 5?

5/10=0.5

As seen above, 5 divided by 10 is 0.5 OR 5 goes into 10, 0.5 times.

Move the decimal point to the right two places and you get the percent form, 50%
