You're talking about the Buick V6... the fuel injected, turbocharged models didn't appear until 1991, and there've been three variations of that. It's quite a long list, and, looking at the Wikipedia article, it turns out there's quite a few on the list I wasn't aware of. So, I'm going to link that page in the related links at the bottom of the page. The models you're looking for are the L67 (series I and II), and the L32 (Series III).
They're a pretty good swap for small, 2WD pickups like the Nissan Hardbody series. The housing won't accommodate a transfer case, though, so you'd probably have to have a gap between the transmission and transfer case, and run a shaft from the transmission output to the transfer case input if you wanted to mount it in a 4WD, then you might have to shorten the rear driveshaft and possibly lengthen the front driveshaft, as well.
It should so long as both vehicles are each Supercharged 3800's or non-supercharged 3800's and make sure the Grand Prix has a 3.8L (3800 V6) and not a 3.1L V6 (3100)
yes. but its easier said than done.
the GTP model has the supercharged engine in it
All 1997-and-up GTP's come from the factory with a 3800 supercharged engine. For 1997-2003 it was the 3800 Series II, and 2004-and-up it is the 3800 Series III.
This question references General Motors built FWD vehicles with the 3800 Series supercharged engines. Sensors included the O2s in the exhaust manifold and the downstream of the catalytic converter pipe. knock sensors in the block, and the manifold absolute pressure sensors in the intake manifold.
It's in your owners manual
It is best to fit a suitable supercharger to extend its working life
