You will need a calculator that is specially programmed for statistics.

In 'statistics mode' enter each number in accordance with your computer's instructions.

When you have entered all your numbers, press the 'equals' or 'calculate' button and the median (the middle value of your numbers) will be displayed.

If you don't have a 'statistics' calculator, you can use an online calculator such as the one readily available on the site in 'Related links' below. It is very easy to use. And totally accurate!

If you do have a scientific/statistics calculator, carefully follow the instructions provided for your calculator, because different calculators have different ways of handling statistical data.

However, you may find an online 'median' calculator, such as the one already mentioned, is much quicker and easier to use than your own calculator!
