On a normally curved class, where a 59% is an F or E, and a 4.0 GPA system the GPA value of 59% is 0
0-59% = 0
60%-69% = 1
70%-79% = 2
80%-89% = 3
90%-100% = 4
55% = 0.0 GPA
a 4.0 = 100% or A average
a 3.0 = 90% or B average
a 2.0 = 80% or C average
a 1.0 = 70% or D average
a 0.0 is less than 60% or failing
A- = 95 to 99.9%
B+ = 90.1 to 94.9% , and so on
Depending on how your school scores things, you would have somewhere between a 1 and a 2 GPA. Generally 60% is a D-, which scores 1 and 70% is a C-, which scores 2. 62.44% could be considered a D- or a D. A D could get slightly more points than 1 for your GPA, perhaps 1.35 or so.
Ask your guidance councilor for your particular situation.
Unless your school uses an E grade, it's probably an F. The D grade starts at 60% in most cases, but a .34 would have to be rounded down.
Typically, it is a letter grade of D+.
