The ACT has four sections:
An essay section is optional.
It is offered six times per year: once each in September, October, December, February, April and June (Be aware: The September exam is offered in only select US states).
Scores are generally available only less than three weeks after the exam, and score reports are mailed three to eight weeks after the exam.
If you completed the optional essay section, you should receive your score five to eight weeks after the exam date.
Scoring the ACTThe ACT tests classroom knowledge, and (unlike the SAT) you will NOT lose points for wrong answers. Have no idea which answer is correct? You have nothing to lose: At least take a guess!
As you are interpreting your ACT scores, remember that each section receives a score of up to 36, and those scores are averaged to calculate your total score.
The ACT Exam, Take Two (or Three, or Four …)Want to take the ACT again? You can register for the exam as many times as you would like.
In fact, 55 percent of students who take the ACT more than once report a higher score, and another 22 percent receive the same score, according to recent statistics from the ACT.

Math is needed by a pharmacist to calculate the amount of medication needed to give a patient. It is also used in compounding (the act of making a medication 'from scratch'.) Pharmacy is also closely related to chemistry, which has a strong background in mathematics.
