it does not have certain lengths, all that makes is isosceles is that two sides have to be equal, and the two smallest lengths must be longer together than the longest length(this applies for all triangles)

The sum of all three angles must be 180 degrees. The apex can be have any value in the range (0, 180) degrees; the "base" angles can be of any size in the range (0,90) degrees.
