i can;t think of anything you would really gain from this unless you have mistaked the squared symbol for a "times 2" is so then this would mean xsquared. For example if i have a square, 2metres x 2metres then to find the area i would multiply the legnth and width together which would give me 4m2 which means 4metres squared. But this does not mean that you actually square the answer.

Show a rectangle that has permeter and area?

The area is the length times the width. The perimeter is two times the length plus two times the width.

What is the area and perimeter of a shaded rectangle?

The area is the length times the width. The perimeter is two times the length plus two times the width.

What is the permeter and area ofthe shaded rectangle?

The area is the length times the width. The perimeter is two times the length plus two times the width.

How do you find the area of a rectangle using perimeter and width?

Perimeter minus two times the width will give you the two times the length. Area is found by multiplying the length by the width.

How to do area with length times width times height?

If you are multiplying length times width times height, that is three dimensions, and you will get a volume. Area is a two dimensional quantity. You would only need length times width to get area.

If you know the perimeter and lenght of a rectangle and want to find its width do you divide the perimeter by the length?

No. If you draw a rectangle there are four sides, the length of two of those sides are equal to the length, and the other two are equal to the width. Therefore: the perimeter, which is equal to all the sides added up, is equal to two times the length plus two times the width: or 2L+2W= Perimeter. If you know L and you know the perimeter you can solve it algebraically. the width equals the perimeter minus two times the length, all that divided by two, or W= (P-2L)/2 (when you do the algebra). you might be thinking about the area in which case if you knew the area and the length and you want to find the width you would divide the area by the length.

What is the formula of finding an area?

in finding the area if a square or rectangle multiply the length and width, for a triangle, multiply length and width divided by two.

When you do area do you add or multiply?

you multiply length times width and if its a triangle you multiply length times width and divide by two or cut in half (:

What are two was to measure volume?

Formula for surface area of a pyramid?

The surface area is length times width plus length. Then you find the square root of the width divided by two and then squared. You add this to the height squared plus the width. The width is multiplied by the square root of 1/2 squared plus the height squared.

The area of a rectangle is 63 square feet the length is two feet longer than the width what is the width of the rectangle?

Area of a rectangle is length times width, therefore if the length is two feet longer than the width then the length is 9 and the width is 7, when they are multiplied you get 63
